BY BENJAMIN RICHTER Contributing Writer The McKendree University Gallery of Art, located on St. Louis Street of Lebanon, first opened in November of 2012. Since its grand opening, the gallery has been the spot to view the artwork of local and prospective artists from the region.  The gallery is free to the public and is open from Thursday to Saturday from 1 to 4 PM.  As stated in Professor MacLennan’s initial article, published with the McKendree Review in the first issue of the year, there were 53 pieces on display at the annual event of “Get Out! There can be a lot of competition for the perfect internship, you cannot wait until April to apply. You need to apply for an internship by January at the latest. An internship can allow you to get your foot in the door even before graduation. There are a few places to look for an internship that you may have overlooked such as Facebook. The entire political process itself can be confusing. This may contribute to voters 18-29 years old turning out at the polls 20% less than voters 30 years and older. We lack the advantage of experience when it comes to navigating the turbulent and frequently biased waters of America’s partisan politics. It can be difficult to figure out who the candidates are and what they really stand for, not to mention how you feel about an issue and what it means for whom you want to vote for. Seventeen schools attended the University of Indianapolis speech tournament including the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Ohio and Purdue University. Representing McKendree were seniors Rebecca Blake, Josh Fleming and Spencer Marcum; sophomores Katie Reining and Taylor Rossi; and first-years Emeri Farnam, Briar North, and Hannah Zickefoose. Marcum won 1st place in programmed oral interpretation, while also taking 6th in prose and 6th in drama. BY KIMBERLY BENNETT Editor-in-Chief A few years ago, I wrote an article about the future plans of bringing back Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーン Bishōjo Senshi Sērā Mūn), a popular Japanese manga (graphic novel) series and anime (animated Japanese cartoon).
