Hello, Bearcats! Welcome back to school!

Normally, the Review begins the year by introducing our new editing and writing team. However, as I’m the only returning staff member, I’m reaching out now to let everyone know that the Review is under construction. In its 100th year of existence, we are combining with McKendree Radio and becoming McKendree Media.

McKendree Radio is an upcoming opportunity for podcast and radio content creators. Head Producer, Larry Davis, will be in charge of the material that is posted there, and he can be reached at larry.davis18@mckendree.edu. If you’d like to reach out to the newspaper, email mckreview@mckendree.edu.

There are various benefits that come from contributing to either of McKendree Media’s domains. In addition to your voice being heard, you will also have published works ready to go to show any future employers. There is definitely an edge to having experience with journalism and podcast creation.

Today from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be an Involvement Fair taking place at the Hett. This is where you’ll find all organizations and clubs you can be a part of on campus. This includes Greek life, honors societies, work study opportunities, and more! If you’d like to get involved with McK Media, visit our table! You can also apply by clicking here.

When we’ve found our full staff, we will begin posting regularly. Until then, carpe diem!

Thank you, Haley, for your promotion of the fair, as well as your comments about the period of change that the Review is experiencing. Under your leadership, I know that your staff and our students will make the Review a vital part of our community. By the way, I suspect there might be goodies and freebies throughout the day with the fair and other events. 🙂
