By: Chris Moore. Published: February 11, 2011. As I walked into the darkened arena, my eyes drawn to the circular stage set up in front, I wondered what I’d be in for. I had never been to any sort of circus, least of all the one that had dominated my thoughts for weeks. Would my younger sister, who sat by me in the front row as we watched the colorful lights on stage undulate back and forth, be as captivated with the spectacle as I was sure to be? Could the show possibly compare with the fanciful scenes that I had built up in my head ever since hearing about the St. Louis show? Would it be worth the rather pricey sum for two front row tickets to what I long considered must be the true greatest show on Earth? (more…)
