2024 Academic Excellence Celebration

By Madison Rohn, Lead Editor Photography from AEC’s Instagram and McKendree’s Online Photo Albums Last Thursday was McKendree’s eleventh annual Academic Excellence Celebration (AEC), a day for students to celebrate their hard work and show off their achievements. With classes canceled for the day, students were encouraged to watch their peers who were involved in presentations, performances, and honor society inductions. Fall 2023 McK Radio Wrapped!

Two new series were started, and more Bearcats tuned in to listen.  The first episode of McK U Know was published on September 28th. This series, run by Kira Johnson and Rhian Dobinson, is all about getting to know what is going on with sports and clubs at McKendree. In fact, the third episode on women’s soccer was the McK Radio’s top podcast, according to Spotify Wrapped for Podcasters! 2023 Academic Excellence Celebration: 10 Years of Excellence

McKendree’s 10th annual Academic Excellence Celebration was held on Thursday, April 27th of 2023. Academic Excellence Celebration (AEC) is for students to present their scholarly and creative work to the McKendree community. No classes were held in honor of AEC, instead, students were expected to attend events. First, students presented their research in Holman Library. Next, there were student presentations that took place in Piper Academic Center (PAC). Following the presentations, many honors society inductions took place around campus.
