Two new series were started, and more Bearcats tuned in to listen.  The first episode of McK U Know was published on September 28th. This series, run by Kira Johnson and Rhian Dobinson, is all about getting to know what is going on with sports and clubs at McKendree. Amesgiving: McKendree’s Annual Thanksgiving Feast

Due to Thanksgiving break, McKendree celebrates Thanksgiving the Thursday before the actual holiday. This celebration is an annual feast known as Amesgiving, as it is held in Ames Dining Hall. Amesgiving is a long-held tradition on campus. Ames Dining Hall was built in 1968 and dedicated to the university’s first president: E. R. Ames. The first Amesgiving was held in 1995. Since then, the staff at Ames have continued to prepare a festive meal for students every year. McKendree Goes Mobile with the MyMcK App

The app was a project of Mckendree’s Student Government Association. The app is free and convenient for students as it provides direct links to materials like Pulse, Self Service, eforms, and online meal services. Users are available to view upcoming shows at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts and book tickets via the app. Students and faculty are able to report incidents and access emergency numbers. A list of campus organizations, a link to the Health Services office, and other resources for students and faculty are all accessible through the app. Students and faculty can also reserve spaces on campus and contact offic...
