“The Regurgitator”, Stevie Starr returns to McKendree for the first time in over 4 years on Friday, April 8 in Ames Dining Hall at 8:30pm. This will be one show that you definitely do not want to miss!
Starr says that there’s virtually nothing that he cannot swallow and regurgitate – for instance, he may swallow sugar, followed by a glass of water, and then regurgitates the sugar…completely dry! It is rumored that he once swallowed a McKendree CAB member’s cell phone, and you could hear it ringing in his stomach when someone called! Starr’s explanation for his unique talent is that when he was 4 years old, he swallowed his lunch money to keep it from bullies and realized he could bring it right back up. He was born in a children’s home in Scotland, where he lived for the first 19 years of his life, and has been performing his act widely, including on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and most recently on Britain’s Got Talent. He will be featured on the upcoming season on America’s Got Talent.
