Overview

Women’s Volleyball

Coming off of two straight wins, the women’s volleyball team has the busiest schedule of the week, with back to back away conference games against Drury University and Missouri S&T. The Bearcats, who hoist a 16-9 record, travel to Drury University on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. McKendree then travels to Rolla, MO, on Nov. 5 for a 5 p.m. matchup with Missouri S&T. These games pose a great opportunity to pick up two quality conference road wins and a chance to build momentum going into the GLVC conference tournament.

Women’s Soccer

After defeating Bellarmine University 1-0 this past Sunday in the GLVC conference tournament quarterfinals, the women’s soccer team travels to IUPUI’s Carroll Stadium for a neutral site semifinal match against top-seeded Truman State at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4. This is hands-down the most important match for any McKendree team this week, as the Bearcats have an opportunity to play for their first ever GLVC conference title against either University of Missouri-St. Louis or Rockhurst University.

Football

Coming off of two straight blowout victories, one over Missouri S&T and the other over Lincoln University, McKendree will look for a third straight victory, this time at Quincy University on Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. With McKendree currently in third place in the GLVC and Quincy in fourth, this game gives McKendree an opportunity to separate from the middle of the pack in the GLVC and establish themselves as a top conference team. This game also gives McKendree a chance to improve their away record (1-3) and show they can beat a quality team when they aren’t playing at Leemon Field.

Men’s Basketball

Another intriguing matchup will take place on Saturday, when the basketball team kicks off their season on Nov. 5 with a 7 p.m. with an exhibition game at SIUE. While a McKendree win over a Division I opponent isn’t expected, it will at least be interesting to see how the Bearcats compete against a high-level opponent in SIUE.

Cross Country

After competing in the GLVC conference championships on Oct. 22, both the men’s and women’s cross country teams will travel to Evansville, Indiana for the NCAA Midwest Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 5. The men’s team will compete at 10:30 a.m., while the women’s team races at 11:45 a.m.

Women’s Hockey

After a two-week hiatus, the 5-3 women’s hockey team hosts the University of Colorado on Friday, Nov. 4 at 8:30 p.m. Considered a home game for McKendree, the Bearcats will host Colorado in Hazelwood, MO at the Ice Zone at the St. Louis Mills Mall.
