In the making since January 2023, Mckendree’s new mobile app is now available in the App Store. The app was a project of Mckendree’s Student Government Association. The app is free and convenient for students as it provides direct links to materials like Pulse, Self Service, eforms, and online meal services. Users are available to view upcoming shows at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts and book tickets via the app. Students and faculty are able to report incidents and access emergency numbers. A list of campus organizations, a link to the Health Services office, and other resources for students and faculty are all accessible through the app. Students and faculty can also reserve spaces on campus and contact offices like the Mckendree Help Desk.

The app is truly the gateway to all things Mckendree. It is even helpful to visitors as it features a campus map and gives you directions through your phone’s navigation, helping newcomers find their way around campus. The app greatly benefits students as their McKendree email, schedule plan, and academic information are all accessible via their smartphone.

Communication across campus is much more effective and widespread through the app. For example, Mckendree Live is a new feature on the app that allows students and faculty to view campus-wide emails.

SGA President Maria Vitoria Salomao

The current president of the Student Government Association, Maria Vitoria Salomao, stated about the app, “I just hope that the students get advantage from that because it is something that has been developed over a long time, and it is something that we have been trying to promote more. I think it is a great resource to make our life easier since nowadays everyone has an iPhone or smartphone. I am super excited for that. I have been using it. The SGA and Mckendree staff are always open for improvements. … So we have plans for improvements, and we are super excited for it.”
