Senior Breanna Sampo is the President of the Psychology Club. Breanna’s favorite part about Psychology Club is the connections she builds with her psychology peers and the opportunity to be herself.

When talking about what it is like being President of the Psychology Club, Breanna said she enjoys “being able to work alongside Dr. Hahn and brainstorm fun and creative ways to get students involved and engaged beyond the classroom.”

Charlee Taylor, Secretary of the Psychology Club, shared similar thoughts: “I enjoy getting to learn more about psychology in a fun way and ways that interest me. Like through socials, movies, and game nights.”

I, Grace, am the Social Media Manager for Psychology Club. My favorite part about this position is designing flyers for events and making Instagram posts. Psychology Club has given me the opportunity to express my creativity, just like The McKendree Review does.

The McKendree University Psychology Club hosted a social event on Wednesday, February 22nd. Psychology Club hosted this event in the Residence Hall Fireplace Lounge, and this event was open to all students, especially those interested in psychology.

Students played games, such as UNO, Jenga, and New Phone Who Dis? In addition to playing games, students were able to bring their favorite snacks to share with others. Some snacks that students brought were animal crackers, Girl Scout Cookies, assorted chips, Oreos, and Gushers.

Breanna provided insight on upcoming events, such as “mark your calendars for Academic Excellence Celebration [AEC] on April 27th to support Psychology students as they present their research findings.”

More Upcoming Psychology events:

Wednesday, March 22nd (tentative) Movie Night!
